Why There is No Windows 9 but Windows 10?

Before I start with this Article I just want to ask few questions to the people who are disturbed by the fact that there is no Windows 9 as a sequential upgrade for Windows 8 and 8.1 .

Where were you when Microsoft launched Windows 2000 as a sequential improvement of windows 98?

 I mean where is the 99, 100, 101 and 1099? and then they suddenly Microsoft went crazy and changed the whole sequence and Launched XP, then Vista and then they came back home and started sequence with Windows 7? Where is windows 1,2,3?

Well, hopefully now you understand that Windows are not launching sequential upgrades of their operating system in order that you may want them to.

WHY Windows 10?

Well, Microsoft have made many Significant Changes in Windows 8 and that's why they labeled the Magnitude of advancement as 10 rather than 9.

Does it Mean that Windows 10 will be a lot better than windows 8?

Actually, Microsoft have got everyone excited with launch of Windows 10.

• The Famous Start Button is Back.

Version is said to be more lighter and user friendly than its previous version and even more than Windows 9( If it was launched.) 

 Multi-tasking is made a lot more easy.

• Multi- Desktop Options

Its a lot positivism and that's what a successful product brings around.

People are really waiting for this Upgrade. Some are really unhappy who consider 9 as their Lucky Number. Windows don't have any personal issue with you peeps. They just developed a lot better than they expected and lets see if our expectations are also met or not!


If you let me involve SCIENCE, I can even explain why everyone expected Windows 9 as the upgrade at the first place.

Actually, our brain is accustomed to follow a sequential order if no other guideline is specified.

For example:

2, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64

You might see the Sequence as square of digits but actually 2 isn't square of any natural number. Hence you are forced to think in a sequence by your brain at the first attempt.

And Thanks to the Movies and especially Apple company to make the upgrades into a sequential fashion so that people are under the impression that a new version will be the next number in the order.
Though  Apple have also made an exception with launch of Apple I-phone 6 Plus. So in this way our mind gets another break from the sequence.
